Older restoration, well maintained
strong runner, sports scout bottom end, big valve, non stock horn and
generator (bosch + lucas regulator), non stock plumbing, '36 & up indian
chief/scout taillight, hub brake plates turned down in sports scout
style. No speedo. Everything works, new battery, good mileage left on
modern tires, just get on and ride, make awesome bobber, with papers.
That the wheels are offset incorrectly by 7/16 on the hubs, but not too
each other, in perfect alignment and tracks/rides hands off just fine..
Just for aesthetics they COULD be recentered in the guards. This can be
usually be totally corrected or made much less obvious depending on
spoke length by slackening off nipples and re-centering
hub and re-truing and putting the brake side spacer on the sprocket side..
The other things I want to mention is there is a wee crack & chip
in corner of inner primary been hit by a geny chain long ago, and the
front brake anchor pin could do with being removed and the wear built
up. Doesn't affect braking ,just a small knock when applying handbrake.
These are minor and doesn't affect riding safety (yet!) Please ask lots of questions!,, |
