This 1951 Vincent Rapide C is in excellent, unrestored condition. The
original paint is in great original shape – there are only minor nicks.
The bike has no rust and no dents. The frame is solid.
The odometer reads
just over 12,000 miles and is, consequently, an extremely unusual find.
All numbers are correct and are matching. She starts easy and runs great.
This bike has a clear title. It is ready for touring. Approximately ten years ago, this bike was imported into the USA from
Australia. It was purchased from either the first or second owner who was
an elderly gentleman that carefully maintained this venerable classic.
The
person from whom I purchased the bike sourced the bike in Australia after
a long search and then imported it. He owned it for nearly 10 years,
maintained it and made the following improvements.
Items replaced within the last year include: tires, clutch, clutch cable,
break cables, throttle cable, choke cables, carburettors (exact replicas
made in England), replaced the 6V Miller Dyno with a Alton 12V generator &
voltage regulator, (double the watt output), the magneto was replaced with
points & coils for easy starting and running, also a lot easier and
cheaper to maintain.
Included is a 205-page service manual and instruction
sheets by Paul Richardson to help you maintain this beauty. Receipts and
records will be provided to the new buyer.
