 This
great looking 741B is in excellent mechanical condition and pretty original
order. The motor has been completely overhauled and stroked by 1/2" (moving the
pins on the original the flywheels) and bored to 73 millimeters to give 45ci
(750cc). It sounds very gutsy, starts easily and pulls real well. It
has had a 12volt conversion using the original generator with armature rewound
and 12V Lucas regulator fitted (the plate behind the rear cylinder and battery
is a removable heat shield)
There is approx 500-700 running in miles since full motor and gearbox
rebuild. Chain guard may be reproduction but has correct horn, 100mph speedo,
correct Indian script ammeter, moto lamp headlamp and correct military ignition
switch. Tires like the rest of the bike, are in great condition.
Comes with Indian script thick leather saddlebags as shown in some photos. It is
sporting the Model 640 rank insignia plate.
Stock flywheels are also supplied for the purist for the easy conversion back to
600cc, or stock 500cc with sleeved or stock barrels. Tidy up the wiring, paint
or plate the exhaust and you have yourself a very pretty, strong running
scout that will blow the stock scouts away!.
