have three 101 projects already & need some room to move round them so
this ones gotta go & I would rather see it stay here so I can sell you
parts for it than sell on ebay!- lets be honest, the pictures make it
look good!. Could be restored back to former glory or would suit bobber,
chout (chief eng.), period racer etc or just sitting there in your
workshop looking old and damn neat!. Has some 741 parts (hubs & rims)
and frame has had axle slots cut to remove axle and bottom tank tube
removed at some stage (NOT ME!). Very feasible to repair. The 101's are
fast becoming one of the most desirable indians and are now fetching
prices same as that of a chief!
The bonus with this deal is I can supply much of the parts that need
replacing or put you onto the right people if I can't. Frame & forks
eyeball up fine but everything needs work. Major assembly's all good,
gearbox, primary & crankcases (CG1213) are fine, barrels & heads good
need fin repairs. Tank in good shape for 70+ years & will come up a
treat. Missing, head & taillight, magneto, geny, fender braces, rear
brake plate, saddle springs, & lots of other bits and pieces like
bearings, foot pegs etc but much of it is same as 741 scout and are
available thru me or other dealers. Cams & followers okay, idler gears
there for both gearbox and timing chest, and I will find you a mag gear.
Has a Schebler carb DLX10 correct for 20-26 scouts, even the very hard
to find takeoff for the generator is there. She's not for the faint
hearted novice that's for sure.
